Now some more…
Overview
Professionally, I've
been self-employed most of my adult life as a small
business owner. I've got my Master of Science Degree,
been a US Army officer, Corporate Manager, Real Estate
Salesperson, Investor, Developer and even taught
part-time in a local college in Cupertino, CA.
My wife, Michelle, and I live in
California on a beautiful golf course with our
pool overlooking the 10th hole. On our patio, we sip
our coffees in the mornings and watch the golfers "lay
up" right below us.
Let's make it
easy...
Since 1985, I've been
earning a full-time income part time, mostly within the
network marketing and direct sales industry. I've been
online since 1995 but got my first real computer in
1987.
We enjoy an incredible
sense of security, peace of mind and have lots of free
time because we've created
multiple streams of income.
Being debt free and having no credit card bills allows a
financial peace beyond words. If there is any hic-up in
our money streams, it want even be a blip on the
screen... we'll still be able to comfortably live.
Over 25 years ago, I
began my own real estate career. But after a few
years, I soon found out that all I really had was
a full-time job disguised as an independent
contractor business. It was all about me.
Not enough hours in
the week. I learned that you still can't trade hours for
dollars and at the same time, get ahead. That equation
works against you, so I decided to educate myself and
find out how to leverage my time and money using the
internet.
And although I've
earned some money there's nothing special about what I
do or what I've accomplished. I just keep an open mind,
educate myself and tried lots of things. Some worked
out, some didn’t.
"Success Is Sweetest When Shared."
-Howard Schultz, CEO, Starbucks
Helping others achieve a
higher level of financial success is a personal as well
as a business vision for me. I can’t make someone
successful, but
I can create an environment for
success.
If you're serious enough to take some action, you may
be able change your life! And your finances! You have
to open minded and think beyond your present
circumstances.
Albert Einstein said, “A person can not solve a problem
at the same level of thinking that it took to create the
problem. Good thought!
The process can be almost effortless once you
understand time leverage and running a real business
actually frees you up for accomplishing even more in
life. I can share with you my thoughts but a good place
to start is a book by Robert Kiyosaki, The CashFlow
Quadrant.
Remember, nothing is instant. It doesn’t just happen
that some are successful and others are not. You can’t
just make money on the internet or anywhere else without
embracing a knowledge of success principles.
Everyone is
looking for the free ride and it’s not free.
But It Is Easier Than
You Think.
The reality here is there's
only a 6 inches between you and many home business
millionaires, and that's the 6 inches between you ears.
You’ll have to start some place and it might as well be
with you. You’ll have to
make a decision to make money
and stick with your goals regardless of the
circumstances, good or bad, up and down, feel good or
not
Earning thousands of dollars every year, month or week
isn't possible without getting yourself together.
You’ll have to decide on what you really want,
find people that already have want you want and have
them help you make a strategic plan to get want you
want. Then, just work that plan without quitting.
What Is Living Without Financial Worry Worth
To You?
If you keep reading, you’ll see that it is possible to
achieve any realistic dream you may have.
I’ve observed that
money
itself isn’t evil and those that have it aren’t
dishonest. I’ve seen those that don’t have any
financial dignity tend to be far more negative about
their lives and toward other people’s lives than those
that do have some. Who wants to just squeak by every
month, anyway? No, not me.
I’m really just a nice guy
with no real special talents. Nice guys can finish
first. People who know me, know that I just go with the
flow. I love being in a position that I can help others
realize that they are in control and they can change
their lives. It’s not up to me to run anyone’s life, I
just want people to have the right information so they
can make right decisions.
I spent the first half of
my life making some money and now I’m spending the
second half helping others. Pay it forward kind of
thing. I’m more that just excited about helping
others. It keeps me buzzed up about life itself.
There
are so many people on the internet offering bad advice,
it seems overwhelming that I can even make a small
impact. But as Robert Schuler said, “Inch by inch –
anything’s a cinch!” Maybe you’ve already been messed
around with but you still haven’t given up on the dream,
have you?
I’ve
noticed that I like doing business with people I like
and trust. I like to talk live with people and
have a cup of coffee and get to know them. I’m
accessible and you are more than willing to talk to me
live if you would like. I won’t keep you in email
isolation or auto responder mode. Just call.
You’re
probably still reading this because you have had some
experience with a home based business opportunity and it
didn’t go well. You may be trying to find someone that
you know can help you. You can waste a lot of money and
time by being involved with the wrong people, even if
the opportunity was right. Right?
Well, it is possible
for ANYONE to make money in a home based business and be
online too. I'll do my best to help you go in the
right direction and help you see how this can become a
reality for you.
But
before we talk about that, if
you're the type of person that hates chasing friends and
family or cold-calling complete strangers, then I have
a good report for you...
Let me tell you some of the things
I do not do
to build my business!
·
I don't spam (unsolicited e-mail).
·
I don't stock a garage full of products.
·
I don't do home parties.
·
I don't do traditional sales.
·
I don't spend hours in front of the
computer.
·
I don’t arm wrestle my friends to listen
to me.
Basically, I not going do those things that you might
think are necessary to make money in an
internet home-based business.
What I DO...
I
build Teams.
I look for talented
people with certain skills and have them recognize that
they should concentrate on their strengths and just work
on some of their weakness. It’s kind of like being a
football coach. I’m not looking for all quarterbacks.
Some people will never be a quarterback. But when the
team wins the Super Bowl, everyone gets a ring.
Born In
Kentucky, Raised In Tennessee...
I was
born in Kentucky! I come from
an average, middle-class background and family. During
my young adult years, I made my way through several
career choices. Guess you could say I was "looking for
my passion" in life.
I'm
the middle kid of three children. My older brother
passed away of colon cancer a few years ago and my
sister lives in North Carolina.
My wife, Michelle, and I live in a
suburb of Sacramento, California.
Our home is about 20 minutes from the famous California State Capitol where Arnold is making history. We really enjoy living in this part
of the state, and you can't beat the year-round sunshine
either!
Michelle was born in Richmond,
California and has been in California all
her life.
Life
experience has taught me that the universe will give you
exactly what you attract - Michelle and I met in 1989
right after I was
hitting my first major success.
"She's the best thing that ever happened to me!"
When
the right two people finally get together, and it’s
truly the right one and only, look out! That's how I
feel about her, she's the love of my life. There’s a
perfect fit... You know it... You feel it in your
spirit. There are no words that can describe it.
Unless you’ve experienced this yourself (and we hope you
have), you wouldn’t understand when we say it feels as
if we’ve known each other for a lifetime.
And
even though we're both from two different areas of the
United States, we share the same philosophy about
living. When we met, we
instantly connected
on so many
levels but it wasn't until years later when both of us
where available to really get know our similarities that
we bonded - spiritually and emotionally.
We
share the same values. The same work ethic. The same
goals. The same views about our spiritual growth and
family. The same loyalty. And above all, we both love
to help others and have fun.
Michelle is currently a licensed California Real Estate
Broker and has been for over 25 years. She has
accomplished major successes outside her home based
business and within the real estate industry. She is
very competent as a business woman and investor.
I Love Every
Day With Michelle
Michelle has been with me through tough emotional times
and now we're in the good ones where we don't have to
worry about bills anymore thanks to our home business.
We had
both learned similar lessons in life, and both had to
deal with personal setbacks that could've prevented us
from realizing our dreams, but we never gave up, and now
we're enjoying everything life has to offer.
Time
is our most precious asset. It's the one thing we
can't get back. Most people would love to have more
time than money. To Michelle and me, nothing is more
important than spending quality time with each
other and our family and friends.
I Didn't Learn
This "TIME" Thing At First
In my last year in
high school, I decided to go to college only because the
rest of my friends were all going. I guess that is the
power of the right association. It didn't have any real
reason to even go except I was just doing what everyone
else was doing.
I took a full 5 years to get my 4 year undergraduate
degree. Pledging a fraternity, partying and staying away
from most classes didn't help. Only because I changed
my major to Recreation Administration did I even have a
chance to get my degree.
After leaving school, I was
commissioned as a US Army
Signal Corps Officer and assigned overseas in
Germany. Since the Vietnam War was in full
force, it was just a matter of time before I would be
deployed. Fortunately for me, President Nixon started
scaling back troops and I remained in
Germany until my tour was up.
I still didn't learn
any lessons and immediately set out to get my Master's
Degree in Recreation Administration. I landed a job at
Marriott's Great America and became a corporate
employee. It wasn't until I saw a number of my friends
get laid off (due to a "corporate realignment") that I
knew I had to start looking for something else.
I also realized that I couldn't work for anyone else,
so being my own boss was the only logical choice
for me.
I went into Real Estate Sales full time once I realized
I was making more money part time than I was full time
in the corporate world. I may be a slow learner but at
least I figured out being an employee was just not
working for me.
Hobbies and Interests

Another day at the office!
There are lots of
hobbies we enjoy. Yep, I'm a golfer! I'm really not
good at it but I sure have all the right equipment. If
I didn't have to hit the ball, I would look like one of
the pros.
Michelle loves to travel. Anywhere, Anytime, Any
Place.
We're
also into reading, romantic movies, Joel Osteen, our
church, personal development, cooking, technology and
health and fitness. Did I mention I love Oreo double
stuffs?
We also love taking a quick day or two just to getaway.
These
include cruises, long drives up the coast of California, spending a weekend in a little bed and breakfast
or just getting out of town for the day to enjoy a
change of scenery and some fresh air. We enjoy hiking
the nature trails, and walking... it’s great exercise,
and a lot of fun.
Traveling
is one of the many "perks" of owning an international
home-based business, and having the financial freedom
and the time freedom to just get up a go when we want.
It feels great.
Here's Where It All Started....

I
attended my first opportunity meeting in at the old
Sacramento Red Lion and was more concerned about whether
anyone would see me there than listening to the
speaker.
Starting my own home business back in 1983
was
a terrifying at that time since I had no real business
experience; just a hard worker, a burning desire to
succeed and a positive mental attitude. It made sense
and I moved ahead.
I
moved forward, enjoyed some great success and moved
fairly quickly... I was on my way, I was happy and
successful and knew everything about being successful.
I even gave talks at my Church and in the Community on
finances. I had no idea the internet would change
EVERYTHING!
To be
perfectly honest, I spent the first couple years on the
internet running between mad and frustrated. Everyone
was making money on the web but me. I just couldn't
figure it out. I bought leads, put up web sites, set up
Auto responders, and even copied other sites. Like
most, I failed many times and made a ton of mistakes,
but managed to make a few bucks along the way.. I guess
I was just too stubborn to give up on the internet.
Even
though I failed in more than a few programs to help my
business over the last several years, as I said, I've
also had some significant success.
If
you've been involved in any type of traditional MLM
program, maybe you can relate.
We all wish it would
just go faster. It seems to take forever.
Now don't get me wrong, Network Marketing is a great way
to make money and grow personally but when it takes a
while to get there, you tend to get negative.
The internet even created an extremely negative and
hostile environment for any MLM.
Critics blasted the
concept
and tried to rip the very fabric of success of
thousands of successful entrepreneurs. I didn't even
know all the things that could go wrong until I saw
"things" on the internet. I was doubting what I had
created.
I Finally Figured Out Where I Was Going
Wrong
Building a Traditional MLM requires
massive selling and massive recruiting to create a
residual income and
most people don't like to sell or
recruit.
Promoting isn't for everybody! Some people
are good at it, most people are not! The Internet
changed the way we do business but it doesn't CHANGE
PEOPLE.
So
as I was saying, my experience in all this eventually
led me to....
The Solution: "Internet People Are Still People"
It was
like being hit with a fire hose. In
2004, I was reminded that it is NOT about technology it
is still 100% about people. I was trying to sell
technology. I promoted the website, the stores, the
ease of ordering, the vast array of products and even
tried my own hand at website building.
Then, the realization of
what I had found....
When you take away all the negatives of building a
network marketing business, you're still left with
something that greatly appeals to the majority of
people around the world:
that we all want it to work
and work fast. It's all about people and finding people
who want to improve themselves. I knew the answer all
along but got distracted by all the internet hype:
Easy money. Just put up a website. Money will flow
forever.
You've seen them:
I made $200,000 in 20 minutes!!
Right? Who believes that? I've never done that.
Even if it was true and it is a lot to make fast, I know
enough about success that it doesn't come without a
price. Someone making that kind of money has developed
their skill levels and commitment levels to an extremely
high level. I just don't want to be watching over a
computer screen all day long. If I had to sit on my
rear end and stare at a screen, I rather do day trading
instead. At least the hours would be shorter!
It could take years to develop a talent that drives
thousands of dollars into your pocket. Do you really
believe just buying one person's web class is going to
make you rich? You better plan a few years of
copywriting, web creation and psychology classes. And,
prepare to live in front of your computer!
I believe I wanted what most of us want. A respectful
income that I was not working all the time to maintain.
My guess is that I'm ambitiously lazy!
I thought I had built a Home based Business but
I was really still stuck in as being Self Employed.
I was so good at what I did, I was going to make others
successful regardless. Once
I learned the secret
of the
"community building the community" did it all make sense
again. Everyone should be helping everyone else. Top
Producers should be able to help the newest person and
everyone should benefit. Setting that in place wasn't
easy but it works.
Everyone helping everyone else. Now there’s a concept.
Imagine letting those that recruit best recruit. Let
those that are good online work online. Let those of us
good at just talking with people just talk. Let those
that like doing meeting do meetings. Everyone having a
role but everyone helps everyone else by doing their
role.
It's
been my experience that about half of all
online programs are scams or Ponzi's which will run off
with your money at some point. The others are great
ideas but will take some special expertise that they
will SELL you to learn their
program. You can buy a new car but if someone doesn't
know how to drive it, it will just sit and collect rust.
The educational information provided to you on this site
is not based in theory, but real life experience.
I've
done my homework. In some cases it's cost me money, but
I've learned from each of my mistakes.
I want make something
crystal clear... It's important
that you understand that an explanation of an
opportunity is in no way to be construed as a
"recommendation."
Why?
Well, I'm not a financial
planner, nor do I hold myself out to be. You decide for
yourself whether or not to participate in a particular
business, as you will be the one to reap the
consequences of your decisions – good or bad.
So that's why I don't make
specific recommendations on how much you should spend
with a program or which one you should join, it's your
responsibility to do what is right for YOU. In other
words, what you do with your money is
YOUR business, not
mine.
I will recommend one thing: Spend more money on
improving yourself than you do on anything else.
I will not "guarantee" the success or
profitability of any particular program or you. Nobody
can!
The Importance Of Having Many Mentors
Success breeds success. Are you hanging out with
successful people or are you going it alone? If you're
alone, chances are you'll fail. Teams do much better in
business that individuals.
It's almost guaranteed.
What I've learned is that
people want to be recognized for themselves as
individuals. They do not want be treated like part of
the masses. There are lots of people that will show you
how to sign up on the dotted line and start your own
home business or buy this tool or that tool, but
you
should be looking for genuine mentors who will support
and nurture you.
Not just one. Many Mentors. What if the one person you
chose turned out not to be the right guy? Opps. There
goes 5 - 10 years. Look for group of successful people
that are all going in the direction you want to go.
Look for a
Team of people that have your best interest at heart.
They should be interested emotionally and financially in
your success. Remember, TEAM: Together
Everyone Achieves More.
This is my best Team Mate!
Lots
of great players never make it to the championships
because they never play as a Team. Business like sports
is a Team sport. Find a Team of people that you can
model their success and they can mold you into the
person you’ve always wanted to become.
Do
You Have Time Leverage?
Remember that book
by Robert Kiyosaki, The Cash Flow Quadrant that I
mentioned? The entire book is about Leveraging your
time, talent and resources.
It’s been my
observation, one of
the most powerful concept I learned
when I set out to create some sort of financial
stability in my life was
time leverage.
Understanding this concept is what separates the
employee and self employed from the wealthy in our
society. That’s why many
true business owners have
multiple businesses and investments and the poor keep
saying that they don’t have any time. When someone
tells me they don’t have time, I know they have not
learned to leverage their time yet.
If you trade your time for dollars, you only have 24
hours to trade. What happens when you have 25 hours of
bills? Or you want to double your income? Getting more
dollars per hour is a poor substitute for getting more
hours. You can only get more hours by leveraging your
time.
But if
you can LEVERAGE time and
have a “system” in place that
it will run on its own, there's virtually no limit to
how much money you can earn.
I know
there are people that have no time but they have plenty
of money. That was not a life that I wanted. The price
was too steep.
Then
there are people that have plenty of time but no money.
We call these people unemployed. Not a good option for
me either.
I wish
I had been smart enough years ago to at least be in one
of those two categories. I woke up at age 35 with no
time and no money! What a deal.
But by age 40, I had
it reversed. Time and money, what a great combination.
How
can you leverage your Time/Money?
Well,
one of the smartest ways is to become a business owner -
this is someone who leverages his time by having people
work for him. But that can take 20 -30 years or so to
get all systems running themselves. Until then you may
be with no time for years.
Or you
can
own a part time home based network marketing
business where they earn a percentage from other
people's efforts (their downline).
Whether you take some of this free advice or not, I hope
you find all the success that you desire.
Unfortunately, I can
only return a few calls since I am in a kick back
mode. Or just try sending me an
email. Just remember that I sleep late and I'm on
California time!
Take care,

PS: I am
looking for a select few individuals to coach and
possibly mentor on how to create your own successful
online business with a $250,000 1st year potential.
